Bluestone increases sponsorship of Carols in the Park

Bluestone Mt Barker is continuing to build a positive presence in the local community by increasing its sponsorship of one of the Adelaide Hills' annual highlights - the Mount Barker Carols in the Park and Fireworks Spectacular.

This Sunday (December 11), over 5000 guests are expected at Keith Stephenson Park where Bluestone's iconic blue balloons will again fill the arena as a major sponsor of the event for the fourth consecutive year.

Bluestone Development Manager Chris Buttignol said Bluestone had increased its support in 2011because of what the day means to the entire community.

"Bluestone demonstrates a strong presence at a variety of community events throughout the year," he said.

"This year we've made our largest ever financial contribution to Carols in the Park because we're committed to ensuring Mount Barker can retain the sense of community that makes it a great place to live.

"Bluestone is proud to engage with the District Council of Mt Barker and other local businesses to give families and children a memorable experience at Christmas."

Guests are invited to bring along their picnic blankets to enjoy the pre-concert entertainment including children's rides, creative workshops, catering and music.

The concert itself will feature special guest artists, community carols and the Carols in the Park Concert Band assembled from district and regional musicians and singers. It will also feature a 'close proximity pyrotechnics' fireworks display.

A Bluestone tent will be positioned at the entrance where Bluestone Staff will be volunteering their time to handout balloons to children.

Mr Buttignol said Carols in the Park was a great opportunity for the whole community to connect and enjoy a fun night with their families.

"This is the ideal way for Adelaide Hills locals to get into the spirit of Christmas and Bluestone is thrilled to be part of it yet again," he said.

Pre-concert entertainment begins at 5pm, with official proceedings due to start at 7:30pm.
